Aging: Perspective Changes Over Time ... WHEW.
.... Growing older is definitely a gift. It is not something to be scared of. It is the best thing that can happen to us. With each experience we go through, there's much to take from it. Experiences come and they serve their purpose, for however long the duration until passing. No matter how painful, joyful, or neutral the experience, there's always something to be taken from it. Sometimes that realization may come a month, or a year from it's passing, but age definitely deepens perspective. Maybe I'm taking a positive spin on things ... then so be it. Life is what we make of it right?
I think personal growth naturally occurs each year we are still alive and breathing. We may not even notice these changes, but it certainly occurs. It dawns on me at the most random moments, the opportunities that surround me and the itch within me that is trying to find its way ... to COMMINGLE.
Instead of looking back in regret or feeling pain, sorrow ... this moment is a moment of JOY and realization that what has passed is DONE. ***This moment of reflection is SWEET and holds MUCH STRENGTH!***
Glance at the past and get lost in the moment.
Let us learn from nature, from this season of Autumn.
The leaves are turning beautiful shades, as all things change from one state to the next.
Change is part of life.
The crisp air is invigorating, keeping us alert.
It's time to slip on my trench coat with a green juice in my hand ... and have the most amazing walk. Conscious of each step, constantly moving forward, and taking in my surroundings, as each moment leaves to the next ...
Go out for a walk, sit at a park bench, and relax. Savor. Smile. Just be.
:)
