We are so used to re-telling the "traumas" of our lives, identifying with the unsatisfactory ... as a way of validating our confused ego, keeping us in A STATE OF MEDIOCRE DELUSION.
A vicious cycle one may not understand.
We blame outside factors for the "cruelty of life," when the responsibility solely lies within our own hands/ mentality.
But what is delusion?
DELUSION equates to the perspective in which we identify ourselves as:
- negative self image & self talk
- accepting limiting labels based on religious, cultural, dietary views, etc.
- the idea that we are all separate from one another
- dwelling in the past in hopes of changing it
- holding resentment/ grudges
- fixation and conditioning of destructive habits
Why CHOOSE a mind state that doesn't allow us to fully LIVE a vibrant life? How many of us spend years tormenting ourselves with this cycle of delusion? How many have reached the point where the way they were living just did not provide that same "FIX" anymore? And how many have made the CONSCIOUS DECISION to ATTEMPT SOMETHING NEW and DIFFERENT FROM WHAT THEY KNOW?
Accepting responsibility for your own behavior, reactions, and thoughts is the first step of regaining control, because ultimately how you feel or react to a stimuli is YOUR CHOICE.
The blame game resolves nothing.
Being resentful and holding a grudge resolves nothing.
Dwelling in the past resolves nothing.
***Wishing and wanting will not help you achieve what you seek, unless you decide to put in the effort and continuous practice of self improvement.****
