Misinformation, Failed Diets, Dis-ease, Back to Basics

What does food mean to you?

Everyday it seems as if a new "food" source (man-made, processed) is created as frequently as dietary programs?

The constant production of "food" now seem to arise from ANY source and deemed edible.  Luring us in with claims of HEALTH, HAPPINESS, CONVENIENCE, and TREND.  We are unaware of its affect upon our health until a crisis arise, leading us further away from the things that it claims.

Over-consumption has become a disease in itself.  It has led us toward a form of addiction, a lost of mindful cognizance, with the constant need of satisfaction. We find ourselves over consuming, developing food addictions, a rise in obesity and major health issues, and then we advertently try to fix this by implementing dietary procedures that just do not work.

Why do diets fail?

We have been misinformed and misled by the media for years.  Profit is the agenda, not our health.  We are unaware of the consequences of consuming genetically modified foods and processed foods with promises of health and abundance, conveniently packaged in a box or a can.  The more we consume, the more we may unknowingly feed the dis-ease that will gain enough fuel to manifest later on in life.  Only then do we start to question and desperately search for answers.  Blindly seeking a solution through doctors who promote certain drugs to suppress hunger, or a dietary program that creates a negative association with certain foods, does not target the root of the dis-ease.

Misinformation has been the biggest culprit since the expansion of civilization.

Ideally, we would want to believe that food producers have our best interest in health, but sadly this is not the case.  Pesticides, fungicides, chemical preservatives, and genetically modified foods to promote longevity, are the DISEASES that we put into our bodies.  We have lost touch with our natural roots, to nature, and the ailments that stem from an unnatural diet and lifestyle are the result.  If you suffer from digestive issues, obesity, diabetes, mental cloudiness, acne, and an unfulfilled sense of being, then it is time to WAKE UP and question the world.  Once we allow our vision to broaden beyond what is presented before us, then we can start rebuilding our connection back to nature, to our natural source of foods (plant-based nutrition.)

We must also separate the idea that food is the culprit. Food is NOT the culprit, per say.  Food is just food.  It is our relationship to food that we must evaluate.  Society will continue to produce processed junk and entice us with jingles and claims for health, but we can make the decision to say NO to the false claims.

Therefore the path to recovery is more than just a dietary plan.  It requires a deep examination and overhaul of one's conditioned belief system.  It takes recognition and admittance that what you have been doing up to this point has not been healthy for you physically or mentally/emotionally, and begin to develop a conscious mindset in order for you to take hold of your health, your happiness, and no longer have it dictated to you.

Let us alter our relationship and mindset toward health.  Let us regenerate our minds, and choose to put energetic fuel (RAW FRUITS and VEGETABLES) into our body that will allow us to function and express the creativity that we ultimately are!

To be continue ... :)
