The body craves nourishment.
We do not crave chips.
We do not crave pie.
The body does not crave man-made processed "foods."
The body is desperately asking for nutrition that comes from the Earth!!! Mother Earth, with its minerals, and the lovely sun for its life giving properties, work together to give us what we need. What other source obtains all the above but FRUITS AND VEGETABLES in its RAW STATE.
Yes, we have created this civilization that we know as the norm, but first and formost, we are from nature. We also come from the source, and it just makes sense to me to consume food that is unaltered in any way.
Vegetarianism, Veganism, Paleo, ect.
Which is the best diet?
There are truths and myths from all sides. Positives and negatives on both ends. Scientific research that clarifies, convolutes, intertwines .... who do we go by? Word of mouth, doctors, nutritionists, health enthusiasts? There is just too much info for an average joe, who has no scientific background, to conclude without conducting their own scientific experiments.
Therefore, I'll leave that area for those who want to be specific, even dogmatic about food choices, proclaim and sell their opinions.
***I think the middle ground is to promote more raw veggies and fruits in one's lifestyle and to consume less meat and processed foods.*** Simple as that. It's not about forcing your belief upon someone else just because YOU believe you know what is best.
Food is only ONE aspect of life.
Yes, it is important to be aware of what you consume. Food choices do reveal a lot about a person. I always say, what we choose to eat is a reflection of how much we love ourselves.
I think promoting more fruits and vegetables in daily lifestyle is the FOUNDATION. Let that be the bulk of what you consume. Educate yourself about animal protein consumption, and let the choice be yours.
I use my body as my own experiment. What makes me feel good and have the most energy throughout my day? Usually having a daily green juice for breakfast (half-blender full) and fruit smoothie (blender full) an hour later gives me energy to go about my morning. I look forward to my huge salad for lunch filled with vegetables, olives, and chickpeas, which keeps my energy level steady and my stomach full. I snack on fruit later on until dinner, which usually consists of a cooked meal. The majority of my food consumption are raw veggies and fruits, which suits me as of right now.
I highly recommend a glass or two of vegetable juice daily especially in the morning. Replace your heavy breakfast foods for something refreshing and packed full of nutrients. Try it! You might even feel more energetic because your body does not have to use so much energy trying to digest heavy foods early in the morning, leaving you alert for your daily responsibilities. So lay off the coffee jitters, cravings, and guzzle down a natural, unprocessed source of energy from plants!
More to come ... !!!!
