Synthetic Oranges. :(

What the .....?!!!

I don't understand this...

Why is COLOR added to these oranges?!  Should I assume that most conventional oranges are deduced to the same treatment?

Why particularly are these oranges showcasing the types of fungicides used?  The only logic that comes to mind is the level of sensitivity people may experience in contact with these chemicals.  Therefore, liability is accounted for.

Not only did this greatly disappoint me, but the taste was just as offensive.

The producers may have heightened the color, but have greatly failed at producing what was suppose to be the flavor of an orange.

Hence the difference between conventional vs. organic.

The use of organic soil, the lack of chemical pesticides, the quality seed, and overall practices to produce nature as it was intended, makes for a more nutritious, tasty produce.  The argument that organic produce is not any more nutritious than conventional seems illogical to me.  Conventional produce are sprayed with pesticides, fungicides, and generally derived from a genetically modified seed (although local farmers may differ). Organic produce do not use contain such contaminants, hence giving all the nutrition without the risk of chemical exposure, which can harbor within the body for many years, feeding the dis-ease.

My family members experience irritation in their throat whenever conventional produce, such as strawberries and blueberries are consumed.  Two of the most sprayed berries, especially strawberries, are known to be on the list of "the dirty dozen."  Consuming organic fruits however, yields no reaction.  I experience the same when I juice conventional oranges.  My skin begins to itch immediately.  I assumed it may have been some type of candida problem, but upon juicing organic oranges the next day, I did not experience any reaction at all.  Not to mention the many times that conventional spinach has wreaked havoc on me!

Organic produce may be a bit pricier than conventional, but I suggest the same dirty dozen list as a reminder of which produce to be vary of.

Here include the 12 most contaminated produce:

  • strawberries
  • domestic blueberries
  • celery
  • apples
  • peaches
  • nectarines
  • sweet bell peppers
  • cherries
  • imported grapes
  • potatoes
  • spinach, kale and collard greens
  • lettuce

Here include some conventional produce that are considered to be less contaminated:
  • onions
  • sweet corn
  • avocados
  • pineapples
  • watermelon
  • cabbage
  • kiwi fruit
  • asparagus
  • sweet peas
  • eggplant
  • cantaloupe
  • mango
  • grapefruit
  • sweet potatoes
  • sweet onions

One small dietary change/ choice plays a bigger impact than you think!

***Keep in mind that the chemicals we consume stay within the body and feed the dis-ease that may come about later in life.  If we have the choice to reduce the accumulation of toxins from what we consume, why not make that choice?***

So enjoy the beautiful colors from the fruits and vegetables, and let them inspire you.  You do not need to walk further into the processed lanes, further from health, just because they are there.

Fuel your body with living foods and transform your life from the conventional and mundane to a vibrant, ideal playground!
